Member Political Priorities for the 2022 Election
The 2022 election season will soon be upon us, and as public employees and education workers, we must be sure that our issues are understood by candidates who are running for various offices that are up for election.

Marylanders will have a wide range of important decisions to make at the ballot box in 2022. Every seat for State Senator and House of Delegates is up for election, and we will also have a chance to elect a new governor, as the current one is term-limited.

In order to better understand the political priorities of our membership as we head into this election cycle, please take the time to complete this, short, 5-minute political priorities survey. Once completed, the union will begin compiling questions to ask the various candidates for the particular offices, and holding candidate forums to determine who will get the union's endorsement.

You can learn more about the union's endorsement process by visiting the AFT-Maryland Political Web Hub at http://md.aft.org/political-action/political-hub.

Of course, all candidate forums and interviews will be open to dues-paying union members.
